The objectives of this meeting are to :

 - Advance the results of recent scientific research about antioxidants: trace elements, vitamins and polyphenols and their role in biological processes and in the aetiology of human diseases.

 - Explore new uses of antioxidants: trace elements, vitamins and polyphenols in medical research including clinical applications, nutrition and disease prevention.

 - Contribute to the exchange of opinions and knowledge between researchers, biologists and clinicians on future research needs in the areas of public health and environmental studies.
